In my witch performance, I built a tipi out of wooden sticks in the forest.
I then wrapped the tipi with see-trough foil and put a light source behind it, so that the tipi would fully light up when it became dark.
I also collected some bones and hung them on the inside of the tipi.
I would sit inside the tipi when it was dark.
During the moment of performance I said dark, witchy sounding words and sentences into a microphone that would make my voice sound different and add an echo to it.
I also made a dark techno/ambient sample that played while I was saying the words.
I got no footage of the performance, since I did not use my phone or any digital medium for a week during the time of the performance.
I did write the words that I said down in a little notebook, see the pic below.
The performance was an experiment with doing something that I liked, that looked cool, but was pretty empty: the words I said did not tell a story, they did not entertain the audience very well.
Most people didn't bother to look at me for a long time but some people stood still and were amazed by the performance.
They saw something in my performance, something that I didn't necessarily intend for them to see.
All I did was putting some of my associations with a witch together and made a performance out of it.
